Frequently Asked Questions

~Preguntas Frequentes~

What size pan should I use when making the cake?

We recommend using a 9 inch round cake if you would like to add icing or other cream-based deocations. However, whichever pans you use, be sure to use MORE THAN ONE, since our cake mix is 1 pound…baking all the mix in one large pan will not allow the cake to cook with the right heat distribution.

Can I find the Dominican Cake Mix in stores?

You can find our cake mix at 35 retail locations in the Bronx and Queens of New York City. You can find these locations here. We are working on plans for national distribution. Stay tuned…subscribe to our newsletter for updates!

Why is the cost of one box of cake mix higher than normal?

We made our cake mix with sharing and with the familia in mind. The Dominican Cake Mix doesn’t come in your traditional sized box. The packaging holds enough mix for 20 servings, which is three times more than your average cake mix. Not to mention we’ve packed our bakery’s in this box with nothing but the best ingredients.  The cost is representative of the quantity and quality.

What makes a Dominican Cake Different than others?

Dominican cake is characterized by its moist and airy texture and meringue frosting. Our bakery has a recipe that is especially unique. Our use of high-quality fresh ingredients amplifies the subtle sweetness and buttery flavor, so it always tastes like its fresh out of the oven. The result is a rich, homemade, light, and moist cake that withstands environmental elements for days….and we really mean dayssss after ists baked.

What suspiro/frosting can I use when baking the cake?
